It's was a beautiful day for Family Fall Festival. Thanks for all the fun. And thanks to our awesome volunteers!
We had a lively morning yesterday at sovKids! Our youngest had fun making and getting decked out in colorful coats, the 1st-3rd graders learned the story of Saul chasing David with the use of action figures, and our 4th and 5th graders did a service project that will help younger students.

The Feelings Wheel is a great tool to help put words to feelings, for both kids AND adults! Find a free downloadable Feelings Wheel on the Parent Cue's website to use for your family.
The sovKids Store opened for the first time yesterday!
The sovKids Store is located in the main student entrance and is where the kids can say the monthly Bible verse. Each week, kids have the opportunity to say the month’s Bible verse to earn a “⭐️”, with a maximum of one “⭐️” earned each month. They can then spend their earned “⭐️” on prizes that can cost 1, 3, or 4 “⭐️”. We highly recommend spending some time practicing the verses at home throughout the month using the take-home cards located at the sovKids Store or the monthly overviews located on the Parent Info wall or our website!
And don’t forget the week’s 🚘 Q’s —
sovKids Surge/Current Car Q:
How did Jesus show compassion to Bartimaeus? How can you make time to help others?
sovKids Spark Car Q:
Who are some of the people Jesus loves? Does Jesus love everyone? Yes!
Did you know there's a difference between being "nice" and being "kind"? Find out more and how we can teach kindness as a lifelong lesson to our kids by checking out this Parent Cue article:

And don’t forget — each week you’ll get a car ride question for each age group. Use these questions as a tool to spark some discussion and hear all about your sovKids’ mornings!

"At every phase, every kid is asking certain questions. Developmentally, kids are wired to subconsciously wrestle with a specific tension. How we resolve (or don’t resolve) that tension has the power to build or erode a kid’s confidence. So, what does this look like for each phase of your kid’s life?"
Check out this Parent Cue article to see what this can look like in each phase.
