Another action packed day at with fun had by all! The adventures continue tomorrow. 🤩

Let the fun begin!
Yesterday, we had 94 campers head up to Trout Lake Bible Camp. Today they got to kick off the week with all kinds of activities! The day started a bit rainy, but turned beautiful — perfect for some water sports, mountain biking, rock climbing, and more! We can’t wait to see what God does through this week. ♥️

Thanks to all who joined us for our VBS and Sports Camp celebration service and party yesterday! It was the perfect way to end a pretty fantastic week. We can’t wait for more fun all summer long!

Day 5| Scuba VBS!

We wrapped up our week of fun and are blown away by each and every one of the 275 kids and 125 volunteers we had here this week. We hope you all will join us as we celebrate in service this Sunday, June 23rd, at 9:15 or 10:45am! We’ll sing one of our VBS songs in service, hear a little more from Scuba Sam, and have some fun outside with giant inflatable water slides, treats, prizes, and more!

Day 4 | FCA Sports Camp!

Today was all action shots as we wrapped up a whirlwind week of camp, learning how God is with us 24/7! Thanks to everyone who joined us for the fun this year! We hope to see you back on Sunday at 9:15 or 10:45 for a celebration service.

Day 4 | Scuba VBS!

What a day! So thankful the rain held off for some fun outdoor play time and games. We also learned that God is a friend forever! Because of what Jesus did for us on the cross, we can live with Him forever in heaven. What a good friend He is! Thanks God!

Day 3 | FCA Sports Camp

Pickleball, dodgeball, baseball, Gaga ball, basketball, and so much more! Can’t believe tomorrow is already our last day.

Day 3 | Scuba VBS!

Today the kids got a taste of what it would be like to carry heavy buckets of water, just like so many kids in Honduras have to do in order to get clean water.

We have raised over $400 so far for our Operation Kid-to-Kid, but we still need $600 more in order to reach our $1000 goal by Friday! Donations can be placed in the water jug located on the east entrance or by visiting sov.church/give and clicking the VBS missions button.

Day 2 | Scuba VBS!

Jonah and the big fish, octopus sprinklers, beach ball games, Scuba Sam skits, and learning that GOD IS A FRIEND WHO LOVES! Thanks God!

Rain didn’t stop us and we kicked off the week with a bang! We can’t wait for more tomorrow.

Self-control is one of those life lessons that will serve our kids all the days of their lives. But it's hard to teach them something that we actively struggle with on a daily basis, right? If you're feeling this way, you're definitely not alone here.

People are wired to pay closer attention to someone who has power over their world. As kids and teenagers grow up, they depend on the adults in their world to get food, to have transportation, and to pay for something on occasion.

It just makes sense for them to . . .

Pay attention to what you like...so they can sweet-talk you later.
Listen to what you dislike...so they don’t accidentally make you mad.

Here’s a relational principle for you: You can’t influence someone you don’t know. So, get to know your kid, whatever it takes. And make sure they know how much they matter to you in the process.
