I'm sad to say that after nearly 7 years we had to close Savor Flavor Asia. Even before covid it was hard to get dependable employees. After all the unemployment stimulus and perks,(Let’s go Brandon) $17hr would not get a full staff I could depend on. Food costs were through the roof. I (Rod) was working 60+ hours a week, not seeing my son and going through a bad divorce.

I want to clear something up. Bringing Asian flavors to people that I have experienced most of my adult life and from living in Asia 4 years has always been a passion of mine. Despite not being Asian, I was the one behind making these flavors happen that you saw. Many thought the inspiration behind Savor Flavor Asia was my wife’s (ex) Ngan because she is Asian (Vietnamese). However, It was my dream and one reason I moved to Asia for 4 years. I’ve been visiting Chinese and Thai kitchens since 10 yrs old long before my ex-wife and even we met. I loved watching people cook and learning about all the different flavor profiles of Asian food. I had a dream to open SFA for the past 30 yrs. I wanted to set that record straight. Maybe someday Savor Flavor Asia will live again when work ethics improve in this country. We are seeking Lead Line cooks to join our team of dedicated employees to prepare high quality foods made very consistently to continue our reputation for excellence You must be a team player, have a passion for getting it right, and possess a strong commitment to each meal give our guests an unforgettable meal.
Reporting to the Kitchen Manager, your responsibilities will include:
Think quickly on a fast paced line
Multi task well on multi job duty station
Have experience communicating with an order window
Maintain a neat, clean and orderly work space;
Preparation of meals according to established recipes;
Compliance with defined portion control procedures;
Cooperation with other team members to maintain a pleasant work place;
Assist with set-up and break-down of the food service area at the start and end of shifts.
