This is a painting that I’m almost done with. It’s a commission for a friend and customer from Wisconsin. About 15 years ago, he commissioned a painting of a deer that he had taken on his land. That painting went to print and has been very successful ever since. This will be his second commissioned painting of a big deer that he took on his land.

On another note: On Saturday, February 25, I will be hosting the annual Big Buck Deer Party at my gallery. There will be three Boone and Crockett measures in attendance, eager to score whatever deer you would like measured for the B&C record books. Many of you have been at these parties in the past, and you are invited again. If any of your buddies have taken a great deer and would like to have it scored, please invite them as well. As usual, I’ll provide snacks and beverages—you guys bring the racks and stories. It starts after noon and goes through the evening.

Well, I have COVID. Only 3rd day into it… it will be changing the amount of ornaments I get done😔 I miss painting can’t wait to feel better and get back to creating.
