At the beginning of each troop year, Troops hold an APC or Annual Planning Council. Here is where we dream, think about and plan the calender and adventures that these troops will embark upon during the 24-25 year.
It’s exciting to dream big and shoot for those things we have always wanted to experience.

Order of the Arrow National Chief, David Gosik, set the tone for an unforgettable conference with his heartfelt opening show speech. His words still resonate with us: "In all that you do, do it with love. When you change someone's life for the better, which I know you will, do it with love." Let us always remember our admonition.
We had our court of honor tonight. It was so exciting to watch Scouts receive the recognitions they so deserve.
They explored merit badges at Camp attended special programs on the eclipse and Scout Sunday, went on a super trip to Niagara where they stayed on a ship. And learned new skills and also importantly — had fun.
Through it all they practiced collaboration, leadership, and experienced fellowship, and friendship. One of the honors that Troop One bestows is Scout of the Year. It is voted on by all of the previous scouts of the year and the vote must be unanimous.
So proud of this young man, advancing to Star Scout tonight, his qualities and skills exemplify what scouting means in a young person’s life.
Interesting find (shared by a friend of mine) for a Friday.

Five concerns parents might have about the move from Cub Scouts to Scouts BSA There are a lot of differences between Cub Scouts and Scouts BSA, and what seems obvious to those of us who have been involved in Scouting for years might not be so obvious to those who haven’t.

Service. historically from then, till now, has been a very important part of the Boy Scout program.
Hale Farm in Bath Ohio has always been a great place for us to come and learn about heritage, history and the Civil War; and see some really cool demonstrations. But Hale Farm is more to us. We have become part of the service team during Civil War weekend keeping the property clean for visitors.
Gratitude.
As an adult leader for Troop 1, anywhere I have gone on the grounds this weekend has been met with people thanking us for the Boyscouts’ service and how much they appreciate what we’re doing.
Paying it forward! Or as the Boy Scouts say — working your ticket.
Our boys get an incredible experience along along with we, adults. We get to camp on site and get a behind-the-scenes look at the reeanactors camps, after 5 pm. And, the scouts learn what it’s like to be appreciated for their work. All of these things are building the knowledge, experience and ethics that the scouting program is based on.
So Long Hale Farm, staff and the many reenactors. We’ll catch you in 2024.
