Meet Robert, METRO's Board President:

"I was born and raised in Akron, I've been here my whole life. Almost 62 years! I've been on METRO's Board of Trustees for eight years now and chair for six."

When asked the most exciting thing he's seen from METRO over the last eight years, Robert said, "Last year was by far the best and most exciting year. Seeing METRO receive federal funding and propel into the future, to see a mid-sized agency be nationally recognized... it's very exciting."

"I like to golf in my free time, it's my passion. It helps me really relax, which I don't get to do enough."

We asked Robert what inspires him most: his five-year-old grandson.

"He is so full of life and smart. I am so inspired by what his future is going to be like."
