JOG Career Specialists work hard to help match participants’ skills and interests with good paying and in demand industries to improve our students’ chances of job placement and growth. Here in Ohio, the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services has released an outlook on what the top 10 industries they believe will have the strongest trend towards growth between 2018-2028. Our main goal at Jobs for Ohio’s Graduates is to help our participants through their academic goals and work readiness. Despite the hot summer temperatures, Kellynne Paaloalo, Lyrical Andrews and Marcella Jackson from Alliance JOG are taking a break from their summer jobs to deliver Meals on Wheels around their community. Making a difference, rain or shine!

Summer's here, and so are the jobs! Natalia Morris is hard at work at YWCA, one of the many amazing summer worksites we have in Stark County, offering valuable opportunities for our students to thrive.

JOG was honored to be a part of the Alliance Marketing Luncheon. While learning new strategic ways to enhance our outreach, we were excited to connect with local businesses and spread brand awareness.

JOG staff members Jamie, Lauren, and Cheryl made a meaningful impact at the Juneteenth event held at Medina Square. It was a wonderful and busy weekend connecting with the community and sharing information about JOG.

Our Summer Youth Employment Program is thriving, and we couldn't be more excited! JOG students, Roche Kirk and Phoenix Valentine, are getting summer work experience from the City of Akron, and even had the opportunity to meet Mayor Shammas Malik!
