NAC Earns Clean Air GOLD for Single-Family Residence

Last fall NAC Products earned the “Clean Air GOLD Certification of Building Products,” from Intertek, certifying that all NAC sheet membranes, NAC TAC II primer and SubSeal® Liquid Waterproofing Membrane conform to California Department of Public Health (CDPH) Standard Method v1.2: Private Office, School Classroom and Single-Family Residence and contain little to no VOCs.

This designation has been updated to include single-family residence as well, expanding the certification for NAC membrane systems.

“We’ve seen a dramatic shift from commercial construction to single family and multi-family projects over the last year,” says Brian Petit, President of NAC Products. The addition of the single-family residence designation further cements our membrane systems as a safe and effective solution, especially for sound control and waterproofing in the residential sector.

The updated certification indicates the products do not exceed the VOC limit for the private office, school classroom and single-family residence scenarios. The emissions testing was performed over a period of 14 days for Super SAM® 125, SubSeal® Liquid and NAC TAC II primer. ECB®, ECB® 75, Strataflex® and SAM® 3 membranes, have subsequently been included into this certification as a result of their proprietary composition. The products were tested based on the most stringent modeling scenario.

“My Father served in the 83rd Infantry Division in World War II and after the war used to race cars at the local track. I was looking for something we could work on together and I came across this Jeep. It was a labor of love for us. It took a year, but he did a lot of the research to find the parts and pieces. It took another five years for me to restore, but it is complete with all of the correct markings from one of the Jeeps from his unit.”
