Kappa Kappa Psi - Zeta Omicron

In honor of the semester starting tomorrow, this week we will be introducing our exec board members! Starting off strong is our president, Jared Anderson!

Jared is entering his fourth year at the University and third year as a member of KKPsi. He is majoring in Biomedical Engineering. Jared is a part of Ohio's Pride marching band where he is head drum major and concert band where he plays clarinet. Outside of band, Jared enjoys baking the best chocolate chip cookies! 🍪

Last night, we said goodbye to our graduating class of 2023. This includes Kai Falcone, Karlynn Baker, Jordan Crowley, Nate Reising and Tyler Schramm. Biweekly Brother is a plaque that is passed along at each chapter meeting to a brother who has shown extra achievement in one of our four pillars: Service, Brotherhood, Musicianship, and Leadership. Each brother chosen signs the back of the plaque and passes it on to the next brother to be recognized.

Last night, we had the honor of presenting the Kappa Kappa Psi Silver Baton Award to Ms. Patty LaNasa at the Wind Symphony concert. The Silver Baton is a national award given to members of the band community who have served for noteworthy longevity. Patty was nominated by the Zeta Omicron Chapter and chosen by the Nation Council for her dedication to the Zips Bands for 25 years. Her passion and pride was so appreciated by our students, staff, and faculty, and although we were sad to see her go this semester, we know she is well-deserving of a relaxing retirement. Thank you, Patty, for your support and service!
