Safe Passage Youth transforms a child’s pathway from the shadow of poverty to a future of innovation.
We need a favor. Our Safe Passage licensed Barber has moved out of the area. We desperately need to find a kid’s Barber who would join us with Operation Sheer Promise. We provide free haircuts for boys who live in poverty. Improves self-worth. One day a month, 5 hours, on a Saturday. We have a generous family that will pay a stipend to the barber. Text us at 805-Eight71-6077 if you have a connect with a Barber who has a servant heart.❤️
Girl’s Power STEM Lab Graduates. Congrats to the first ever Safe Passage Computer Coding, 3DCAD and Engineering cadre. All free, class after class, their ideas in the lab that spark innovation and Passion for STEM. The most amazing and positive, influential, meaningful teen mentors. That’s why Safe Passage has great volunteer educators who can’t wait to inspire the next generation of innovators.

Safe Passage Empowers our youth to break free from the grip of gangs through the transformative power of literacy. 📚✨ Together, we’re rewriting futures, one child at a time.
Of all incarcerated people An estimated 70% of prison inmates cannot read above 4th-grade level (ages 9-10) Our not so secret formula of success is to provide relentless daily community & educational services to children who live in poverty.
Safe Passage Free K-5 STEM CLASSES are community wide. We are proud to partner with the Conejo Schools Foundation, Madrona Elementary PTA to provide for STEAM classes every week for every child at Madrońa Elementary. Brilliant project led by CVUSD Prinicipal Gina. Most children we serve are 1-2 grades behind in science and this is huge step for academic success and joyful families who struggle economically. We want to thank Gene Haas Foundation for making our part in this wonderful program happen.
We sure appreciate our Police Officers at VCSO and TO Police that partner with Safe Passage and spent the day with teens, showing them all the pathway to joy and community, and the reason they became peace officers to help others. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Here is our youth immunization and vaccine team. Volunteers, Public Health Nurses, Promotoras. Yesterday, they made our whole community safer by bringing the health care solution right to the moms and kids who live in the most vulnerable micro-communities in the Conejo. Be safe Conejo, stay healthy.❤️
Today is our children’s free flu vaccine clinic. Mom and Dads can come also. A big thank you to our County Public Health nurses, and T-Oaks cops, teachers and volunteers who make this happen. Creating Safe-Passage-Ways for underserved youth to adulthood makes communities and families strong.
This weekend, Gang Officers, Prior Gang Members and Safe Passage Volunteers will unite & have numerous field trips for 10-17 year olds w/ extreme high risk who believe their only family is their gang and their mind is just beginning to dream of a future. Our joint mission is working side by side to step in and locating these youth in trouble who want more in life, but don’t have the family opportunity, financially or mentally developed yet to achieve those dreams. The secret recipes of success to get these kids who are in trouble to adulthood.

By all of us working together every day we are keeping the streets safer, reducing crime and keeping 15 year olds out of juvenile hall where it costs nearly $200,000 a year to house just one of them. No child wakes up in 3rd grade and says to himself I want to be a gang member. They are a product of their environment .
Giving Tuesday, to us at Safe Passage; Means for us to give gratitude to you. The community volunteers for giving. You all, who give your time or treasure or resources to make sure the first 4000 days of children’s lives are setting the Passage to joy and prosperity. For this day, and all days, we simply are giving all our hearts to you. Thank you 🙏 ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

The first word of our all-volunteer led organization is “ Safe.” Safe Passage provided emergency rent relief grants this week to struggling families with children. Safe, stable, housing for underserved Conejo families is essential to the health and well-being of our whole community. Children and youth who have a reliable place to call home are more likely to flourish in their passage of development and be healthy later in life. Keeping families together means supporting kids and moms in every way possible.
Thank you local businesses. Safe Passage is proud of our two workforce trained Youth Corps members who have just been hired locally for after school and weekend work. Each have committed to the Youth Corps over a year of learning employment, skills, workplace, ethos, and teamwork. To each of you, the community is proud of you. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

This week was our Back to School shopping event for Safe Passage kids at Target. Thanks to the generous donors in the Conejo who brighten lives with providing so many children with all their new school clothes. A great event to see so many kids at target with their moms and CRPD volunteers making this happen. Each child picks out their clothes for the year. Safe Passage outfits over 700 students each August with supplies, clothing and nutrition to prep them for a successful school year at CVUSD.
Kids, Kids, Kids ❤️ Safe Passage is distributing over 700 School Backpacks this week in the Conejo. Each completely filled with a year of supplies. Always free. We serve underserved youth living in poverty that attend CVUSD schools. Those kids that need the community to pull together. Thank you to the families, non-profits & foundations who supply over 30,000 supplies to make this happen every year. If you know a student that needs help, contact us. We will outfit them with supplies, backpack and back to school clothing.

When you’re buying 15,000 to 20,000 school supplies for underserved Conejo Valley children, you make a lot of trips to Walmart. A guardian angels struck yesterday . We turned our back at the cash register. A man approached that we had never seen before. Only would say his name is Paul. Well, Paul paid for two shopping carts of supplies. Paul, whoever you are thank you. There will be 700 happy kids who may never know your name, but they sure will know your kindness for the rest of their lives. Paul’s purchase today was one birthday cake and $411 worth of pencils, pens notebook, paper, notebooks crayons. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Keeping youth engage in the summer with outdoors and STEM allows them to transition back into the Fall semester smoothly. Our summer camps also allow financial relief to over 49 families who do not have to pay for child care. Removing access and educational barriers for struggling families provides a joyful safer community for All.
