ANTI-FLY - Acid Mouth (Official Video) Official video for ANTI-FLY "Acid Mouth"Shot, edited, & colored by Lakota Ruby-Eck for Tomb Pictures
ANTI-FLY “Acid Mouth” (Dir. Lakota Ruby-Eck)
Genre: Lo-fi Electronic
Music Video
Around 8 years ago I shot this for a friend in maybe 3 hours and unfortunately never got around to editing it together. While organizing some old hard drives I ran across the footage and was sad I never finished it as it was a pretty fun little idea. I realized there was no reason I couldn’t put it together now, I’m a better editor and colorist then I had been back then and it would be fun to throw together footage from my old camera and see what the files were like working with again. I honestly had a blast putting this together and feel great about my work on it, it’s cool seeing something I shot so long ago finally come together.
Tomb takes Texas! Feature doc work in the Lone Star State. We’re always happy to travel here at Tomb, when work mixes with adventure there’s nothing better!
“Christmas Cheer” - Dir. A.D. Mabry
Genre: Black Comedy / Holiday / Horror
Short Film
Christmas Cheer is another short that was shot predominantly at night, but lit as though it was day (Night for Day), with everything involving Spencer and Elisheva being shot that way. I took most of what I learned on “A Most Excellent Blend of Tea”, the last project I did Night for Day, and tried to better refine it on this project, including mixing the color temperatures of the “sunlight” to better reflect how at certain points of day sunlight may come in one side of a building warmer, while the light coming in from the other side can be cooler.
As another year comes to a close, Tomb Pictures celebrates friends, clients, and companies it’s had the pleasure of working with this past 12 months. Obviously due to the 20 tag limit I’m not able to shout every single person out, so anyone I’ve missed, don’t worry you’re in our heart! Here’s to yet another new year filled with work and fun, two things that go hand in hand when working on set!
Keep an eye out on the Tomb Pictures YouTube at 10a.m. today for the premiere of the first official Tomb Pictures short “Christmas Cheer” directed by A.D. Mabry!

Some great in action pictures of myself and the crew of “Switchback”! It was a really wonderful experience being able to work with such a sizable and talented crew who all brought their A-game, ready to quickly pull off some big setups with ease. I wouldn’t have been able to do it without them!

MobBeatz x XRat “Diablo” - (Dir. Sef K )
*Not a Tomb Pictures Production* Really touched by the amount of praise I’ve received for my work as a cinematographer on this music video. I wasn’t expecting such a wave of support for it and it means a lot. It wouldn’t have been possible without a wonderful and driven team and a director who really knew what he was looking for. It’s hard to believe how fast we shot this music video, pulling it all together in around 12 hours over the course of two nights. I got to try out the new Loawa Nanomorph lens set on this one and was really pleased by their performance.
Anthill Annihilator “An Endless Room of Infinite Watching Eyeballs” - (Dir.) Taran Shaefer
Musical Genre: Experimental Rock
Music Video
One of simplest music videos I’ve shot in a while. Making this really reminded me of making videos back when I was first starting out, and it was cool to make something with people I’ve known a long time but hadn’t seen much of in past years. The purposeful eschewing of continuity was a fun element to play with and in a funny way was harder to wrap my head around while shooting since continuity has become rather second nature for me. Big shout out to everyone involved!
Japanese Heart Software “Sentimental Heart” - (Dir. James Arrant)
Musical Genre - Indie Rock
Music Video
As with all my work with James, we try to use as little lights as possible when shooting music videos to maximize how much we can shot in a very short window. I believe this was the shortest we’ve taken to shoot something so far, around 11 hours. I’ve worked with the main actor, Bill, a handful of times over the years and he’s always a really wonderful and heartwarming presence to be around, telling stories of his past and bringing an effortless levity to every set.
Been wanting to get some high quality camera photos to post for a while, big thanks to .l.s.photo for snagging this one on the set of The Coordinates this past month! Excited to jump back in to the last two days of shooting it tomorrow. Can’t wait for you all to see it when it’s finished, very proud of my work on it!
Thank you for the kind words Abomination Films, proud to have had a hand in the making of this project!
Lakota Ruby-Eck of Tomb Pictures is truly a notch above. He comes with the tools and talents that have made this project be the best it can be. His instincts have led to great crew member recommendations and simplified entire shooting days with compositions that go above and beyond the original storyboards for their scenes. We are so fortunate he was willing to join us on this haunted journey!

Huge blast working with Abomination Films shooting their newest horror comedy "Insurance"! With only one day left of production coming up, the days that have already passed have produced some of the best work I've shot and I can't wait to see what the final day brings. Big thanks to all the friends new and old who made this project possible and I eagerly wait to see the final product!
