A great big thank you to Market In The Square in West Seneca and their customers for donating $2,698 to the West Seneca Community Food Pantry through the program. Money donated to this program stays right in the community to purchase fresh healthy milk for our neighbors in need. Celebrating another donation from Dash's Market and their wonderful customers who raised $1,983 for the North Buffalo Food Pantry through the program.This program helps food pantries purchase fresh heathy milk for their clients. And the best part is that the money stays right in the community that raised it, so they are truly helping their neighbors in need.

A new bill in the NY State Senate, the "Good Food New York Act," would change food procurement laws, allowing institutions to use value-based standards when awarding food contracts.
"What this bill would do in the short term, however, is enable municipalities -- some across the state have really significant purchasing power -- to better support our own farmers and producers here in New York state"

The folks at Dash's Market in Colvin raised $1,431 to " for the Kenmore Presbyterian Church pantry. This incredible program collects donations from Dash's customers and gives it directly to local food pantries to purchase fresh, healthy milk for neighbors in need, right in their community. WNY Food Bank to Buy More Milk with Donation We heard today... that milk is one of the most requested items at food banks... but is not typically donated... because of it's short shelf life.
Looks like Baby Bok Choy🥬 eeked out a tiny win over Aspara-Gus🐉 in the Feeding New York State 💥 Comms 💥 Clash 💥 Competition💥 at our annual summit. Mostly designed as a way to share marketing ideas with our fellow food banks, we all got to vote for our favorite. 🧡💚 Congratulations to Food Bank of Central New York for taking the top spot, and a huge honorable mention to the team Long Island Cares
We took a field trip! Warehouse and logistics teams from visited Foodlink with us, then we all traveled further east to visit Food Bank of Central New York. Learning from each other and sharing best practices makes our network of food banks stronger! Our goal is to expand our trips across the state and have every food bank in NY visit every other food bank in NY. Be on the lookout as Memeber Engagement Manager Steffanni brings more teams out on the road.

We all work better when we work together - that’s why FeedingNYS hosts an annual member summit where colleagues from the 10 food banks across NY state get together to exchange ideas and put our heads together to solve some of the hurdles we face on our mission to end hunger in New York State. Over 3 days, we had 10 different speakers, lots of awards, and an all-around great time. Thank you to all of our foodbanks, our partners and sponsors who make this summit so great
