Important Message for all members who stayed at the Holiday Inn - Niagara Falls for the recent Detachment Convention:

Please check your credit or debit card statement to be sure that you weren’t charged sales tax (provided that you turned in the proper paperwork when you checked in). Some members are reporting that due to the hotel computers being down on checkout day they were incorrectly charged the tax. If you have been charged the sales tax by mistake please call the hotel and they will have it corrected for you. The proper rate is $169/night, for most members staying 3 days the correct charge should be $507.00.

On the way home from our 50th Convention in Niagara Falls we had the pleasure of stopping by Camp Good Days in Branchport, New York to present a check for $1000 from the Sons and American Legion Detachment Of New York, they were in the process of having a cookout for children recently diagnosed with cancer… other activities planned for that day were taking them out on the pontoon boats on Keuka Lake..Thank you to Alisha and her staff for taking time out to give us a tour of the grounds and various buildings.
