Happy Independence Day! As a reminder, Equinox administrative offices and outpatient programs will be closed today in observance of Independence Day. Goldstein Buick/GMC and the Upstate New York Chapter of the Buick Club of America will host the Cruise-In To Summer 15 Fundraiser this Sunday, June 30 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Goldstein Buick/GMC dealership located at 1671 Central Ave. in Colonie. There will be food, music, and ice cream. Proceeds will be donated to local charities, including Equinox Inc. Please consider attending this distinguished event, support a great cause, and check out some awesome cars!

REMINDER: World Elder Abuse Awareness Day is on June 15th. The Albany Guardian Society is partnering with Whitney Young Health & Equinox, Inc. for a resource fair on June 14th. Stop by Albany Guardian Society between 10 am – 12:30 pm and learn about the resources from organizations that assist older adults.

On Mon., April 22, Equinox was honored to accept a check in the amount of $15,000 for its Domestic Violence Services from the Phil with Love Foundation—a foundation started by the Rabadi family in memory of their son/brother, Phillip, who was a surgical PA at St. Peter’s Health Partners and was tragically killed two years ago. The Foundation was established to carry on Phillip’s legacy of helping others. Equinox is one of four local charities that has been chosen by the Rabadi family be the first recipients of proceeds raised by the Foundation through their Annual Golf Tournament hosted last summer. Equinox received the first and one of the largest gifts from the foundation. WNYT-NewsChannel 13 was on hand to cover the presentation.
