Join us at Carnegie each Saturday morning for some family fun. We'll mix it up and offer a variety of activities: bingo, scavenger hunts, escape room mini challenges, swap days, craft days, and special weeks when we will bring over some of our maker items from Main. It will be fun each week, so come hang out with April on Saturday mornings at our Carnegie (downtown) location.
Join us in celebrating Pura Belpré, a Harlem Renaissance trailblazer and the first Afro-Latina librarian in New York City. As a puppeteer, storyteller, folklorist, and author, she inspired a love of reading in young audiences. This program will honor Pura with storytelling, art and crafts, and a book giveaway for kids! Bilingual librarian Millie Wilson will be joined by special guests Caleea Kidder, KinCultivate Board Chair and Corvallis School District administrator, and Doris Hicks, retired Albany librarian and bilingual puppeteer.
