I’d like to share a few thoughts ahead of this potentially historic storm.
1. Don’t panic! We’ve been through this before, we’ll get through it again.
2. Be prepared, but don’t panic buy.
3. After the storm has passed, if you are in need of tree removal or home repairs, be sure to only use contractors with liability AND workman’s comp insurance. Request a certificate of insurance, this should come direct from their insurance provider!
4. Try to use local contractors if possible, let’s keep our money in our community. In the years following hurricane Michael, we have had to come behind too many out of town tree services and complete or fix jobs they didn’t finish or do properly.
5. Do not pay for tree removal up front, this is especially important if you’re using a contractor who is not local!
6. Please be patient! We will likely be overwhelmed. If we don’t answer the phone, please leave a message! We will be working calls in the order they are received, however, trees on houses will be first priority.
7. If you have trees down, call us as soon as possible. We’ll have our crane and crew ready to go as soon as the storm passes.
8. If you are filing an insurance claim, we don’t require payment at time of service. We are experienced with insurance claims and will do our best to help you through that process if necessary. Our main goal is to get your property safe as soon as possible.
