We would like to pass on some sad news of the loss of a very special member of our Detachment and the Veteran Community. Melody Burns passed away on August 8th after a battle with cancer. We celebrated her life this weekend in a ceremony packed with Family & Friends. It was a wonderful ceremony, there was laughter and tears, and summed up with two words during a speech from one of "Her Boys" of the Veteran's Miracle Center..."Semper Fi".

We would invite you to post a memory of Melody on this post, to be able to share something of her with others. Celebrate her life, that is what she wanted, and as Marines...we follow orders!
