We’re excited to announce our alumni dinner series featuring former members of our team who have left to do great things in their own careers. Our intention is to elevate, amplify and celebrate some of our favorite past team members and to invigorate our current team and guests with a new and fresh perspective for the evening.

On July 16, we’re thrilled to welcome back Jon Culbert , chef de cuisine of Manhatta, to Yono’s where his career in fine dining began before going on to work for the late chef Gray Kunz, rising to sous chef at the Michelin starred Le Coucou before landing as the CDC at Union Square Hospitality’s fine dining restaurant perched 60 stories above lower Manhattan.

Chef Culbert is excited to return to the Yono’s kitchen and treat our guests to an incredible 5 course meal inspired by his illustrious career.

"While under the employ of Yono’s, Chef Gabriella O’Neil participated in the Chaine des Rotisseurs “Jeune Commis” (young cook) competition, coached by Chef Yono Purnomo, where she won the regional competition and National competition before going to Paris to compete against the world’s best. “Gabi is a tremendous talent, especially at such a young age, we are truly lucky to have her. She and Josh (Turo, Yono’s & dp managing partner) are a dynamic young professional duo (both under 30) and work incredibly well together. I have full trust in them to run the daily operations of our flagship, allowing me to focus my time on growing the company, the culture and the brand”, Dominick Purnomo said.
