A team of medics were invited to the recent bar mitzvah celebration of Shmuel Kovetzik in Kfar Chabad, near Tel Aviv, whose life they had saved at birth.

“We had a traumatic and difficult event that, by the grace of God, ended in a visible miracle, and since then we have been in contact with the [Magen David Adom] team, we remember them every birthday, and it was a matter of course for us to invite them to celebrate Shmuel’s bar mitzvah with us,” said Shmuel’s father, Shneor.

Mark the date! Jewish Art Calendar 5784 in planning stage - The Jewish World 07/27/2023

The Jewish Art Calendar of Capital Chabad will soon be published and mailed to over 5,000 homes in the Capital Region free of charge. The plan is to send it with The Jewish World newspaper’s Rosh Hashanah edition. The calendar includes Shabbat and holiday times and personal yartzeit dates and milestones.

This year the calendar will also note 50 years of Chabad in the Capital Region; with its directors Rabbi Israel and Rochel Rubin came to the Albany community in the fall of 1974.
