It's for sale.

Today and tomorrow will be spent taking the paint to the next level.
To the casual observer it looks good.
To the trained eye, it needs some care.
Water spots on the glass and finish. It also has a residual film on it from the environment.

This vehicle took me 3 days.
It's 2012.
I charged $450.
I also applied a paint protection package on it.

Lighting is not the greatest, a lot of shadows.
It turned out nice.
I had just finished the interior when the power went out.
For those who choose to do it themselves, Mr Clean Magic Erasers with a mild cleaning solution will work wonders on leather interior.
Wipe surface with a wet soft cloth, spray the back panel first with a mild cleaner, gently wipe with a magic eraser, wipe with a damp cloth, repeat the steps as needed (I do 3 times)then dry with a soft cloth, then do the bottom panel of the seat, afterwards apply a good quality leather conditioner, do two applications then wipe off the excess with a soft cloth.

While it could fool us ( this is Oregon after all ) it looks like the wet nasty weather will be on us early this year.
Judging by the signs that the old timers taught me when I was a boy growing up in Georgia and Alabama, we won't see much snow, just the normal could wet weather that we see for this area........
In getting to the point of this post, I start my winter maintenance packages October 1st for new clients and September 1st for my already established clients.
This includes:
Wash
Claybar
Polish (1 coat)
Double coat of my paint protection.
Windows polished and sealed.
Tires and wheels are cleaned, rims will be as needed.
Prices will be determined by the condition and size of the vehicle.
Understanding that the economy has us all over a barrel, the cost and services will be kept to a minimum to make it affordable for most everyone.
Let me stress that this is NOT a paint correction/reconditioning package.
This is a package to help protect your vehicle through the winter.
In most cases it will be a one day turnaround.
V.I.P treatment for my established clients will include, pick up and delivery along with a very quick spiff on the interior.

Hard to believe it's been 20 years.

4 days in paint correction and reconditioning.
Followed by 3 days of detailing.

It's been a long day.

FYI
If your Vette has this type of bumper, probably want to do this to clean it out.
I spent over a hour yesterday scraping and blowing dirt out of this one.
Pretty heavy buildup.
There's a gap between the outer panel and the inner panel.
Lot of caked on dirt.
Great hiding place for mice, wasp and yellow jackets.
I sprayed with a light de-greaser, let it soak, spray again then used a wooden scraper and a lot of air.
I don't suggest using anything metal and certainly no power-washer.

This truck stays in the garage.

This post isn't about me.
It is however about the outstanding job that Alex at Advanced Auto Parts did in mixing the touch up paint for this Toyota Prius that came in.
Paint code is Frost Green.
I can say that all 3 of the young fellas who mix the paint there always do a great job of color matching and I have never had to take a vehicle in for them to do so.
I had them mix the paint for a friend of mine so I could paint a fender that he brought me from his Mazda 5 and he was very happy with the results.

When I hear of another small business being booked out several weeks, I see that as a sign of a business that does top quality work.
That! Is a sign of a successful business!
I'm always glad to hear when my fellow detailer's are booked out as well 👍
