WE'RE BACK!!!! July 2022 here we come!

All Ears Jazz Workshop            *Lunch hour will be approximately 12pm each day.                                  LUNCH WILL NOT BE PROVIDED.               Students must bring their own lunch.

Thanks to everyone that made All Ears 2021 a success! In five days we learned Hot 8's "Rasta Funk," Vic Wetzel's "Intermission Riff," Neal Hefti's "After Supper," Hilton Ruiz's "Home Cookin'," and John Zorn's "Bith Aneth." All by ear, no sheet music, lots of improvisation! Along the way we explored concepts of Butch Morris' structural improvisation method known as Conduction, and some of the concepts of John Zorn's "game pieces." All of this in the service of giving young people a safe place to explore and express! Most of all lots of smiles from all involved!

Day two and we've already got three tunes learned! No sheet music anywhere to be seen!

We had a great first day of camp yesterday!
