The Mercantile

Hey everyone we will have a vintage candy shop at The Mercantile. Tell us your favorite vintage candies you loved as a kid. We want to bring you what you love.

We were still painting the trim today. It is looking so good. We will be having a painting party with pizza, beer and soda for anyone who would like to come and help us paint the walls on Wednesday the 19th at 6 PM.

This little side room that goes into where the public bathroom will be is going to be a perfect furniture room. We are excited to style this room with unique pieces for your home. I just love this color on the walls. It makes this room look larger and more inviting then the old brown paneling. 

Getting the trim painted classic black. Had the gas turned on today so my workers can stay warm. Each day will be a new adventure.

We are looking for the following:

1. a couple guys/girls to help build walls. Must have some carpentry experience.

2. Old wood, barn wood, etc. We need a bunch. Let us know if you have a lead on this type of material.

We started pulling up all of the carpet today in the new building. Lots of painting and building to do. This is just the beginning. Look for more pictures as we create a fabulous space to shop, sit and chit chat, pick your favorite vintage candies and find a unique treasure.
