We just baled some late first cutting orchard grass. Small squares $8- 45 #, big squares $60 - appx 500 # and rounds appx 500 #- $60. It was pretty big and has some brown in it. Normally our orchardgrass small squares are $12.

We finished baling the last of first cutting alfalfa yesterday and started baling second cutting last night 😅. The sunset was so pretty!

We finally have a few hundred first cutting orchardgrass square bales available and he is baling some rounds today.

Shane mowed a small alfalfa field but will have to hold off mowing anything else since they are calling for rain to come through on Tuesday. 🤞🏻We don't get caught in the rain baling Tuesday!

We got new hay equipment last week, accumulators that hook to the balers and dump the square bales in groups of 12. Eliminates me needing to go back in the skid loader with the bale sweep to bunch them after baling! Anything that speeds up the process is a good thing 👍

We're ready! And I'm down to the last 4 bales of my primo alfalfa stash so we're hoping to mow some next week if the weather is right 🌞🌞🌞

I haven't met him but this is the info that was sent to me about him:

One year old blue heeler neutered male. Beautiful dog
He has no training and as most blue heelers definitely needs a job :-). He is up-to-date on all his shots and is heart worm neg. Cannot go to a home with young children or cats. Vet referral and $100 rehoming fee.

A very nice dog for for someone who had time to train him or he might make a great farm dog. Very smart very loyal. She simply cannot handle it right now.
He was in a home with another dog. A seven-year-old lab, who is very tolerant but also has her limits
He just wants to play all the time, likes to herd the other dog. Understand really kind of annoying in a puppy type way
He is not aggressive with dogs and his family. However he is a very alert and is protective of his family. Very smart, very busy, needs a job. About 45 pounds.

We're almost finished with first cutting alfalfa! We bale it in the evening to keep it leafy and the scenery is always stunning 🌄
