Apparition: Goth Beach Party was epic. We hit capacity at 10 pm and had an eager line until well after midnight (they all eventually got in lol). The outfits were AMAZING. The vibe was beyond belief. Black and white beach balls bounced all night as people screamed, jumped, danced and drank. We saw beach bo***ge. Sharks. Goth bikinis. Full goth ('cause that's what some would wear to the beach lol). Tropical dads. We partied until almost 2, with a full house enjoying the thrill to the very last beat. We had inflatable coffins and black flowers mixed with tropical leis. And what a fitting birthday for our dear friend Cee Mo!!

It was such a huge success, we're making it an annual event. Many thanks to DJ Moonside for proposing the idea.

We pulled our friend DJ K.0ss up on stage to spin a few random mini sets, too!

Many, many thanks to everyone who came out to party--and who dressed up and brough such great energy. You are the BEST. We're so happy you all enjoyed it. This is truly one for the record books (and one for our collective memories!!).

Tomorrow is probably gonna be the biggest goth event of the year. Apparition: GOTH BEACH PARTY at Insideout You do NOT want to miss this. Doors at 8:30 pm, show at 9. Only $8 if you're in beach or goth attire ($10 in regular clothes). It's also Cee Mo's big birthday celebration!!! It's gonna be fire.

Note - it will rain a little before the event, but the rain is unlikely to affect us (except for cooling it down nicely!). Don't worry about the weather.

We’ve got two events for you this week! Tonight is the Anything that Moves Rock n’ Roll Circus and Saturday is a free Midsummer Dance Party.

Midsummer Dance Party w/ DJ Ren and DJ Moonside

Last June - Apparition: Seance. With special guest DJ Suspence. Pics of us DJing by Sara Roybal-Cole (we just discovered them).

Saturday’s Apparition at Moonlight Lounge was pure magic. Absolutely perfect. The vibe was seamless and thrilling all night. One of the best parties we’ve ever had—and the best blend we’ve had in ages. We were packed at capacity for hours and not a single track cleared the dance floor. Our special guest DJ K.0ss joined us in our signature rapid-fire method (where we fluidly swap shorter sets). We responded creatively and energetically to each other’s tracks—without missing a beat (mood or otherwise). The three of us were having so much fun and were absolutely immersed in every pulse-pounding, joyful moment. It was great. A reminder of why we do this in the first place. It was invigorating.

The crowd danced, sang and vibed, packed wall to wall all night. Thanks to Pepe, Bobby and Kenny for bringing and setting up extra sound equipment—we felt pounding in our bones and hearts. At one point, a mob of Mrs. Ropers came in as part of a Roper Crawl. Steven slipped in a bit of the Three’s Company sitcom theme and all the Ropers (and almost every goth) were screaming the lyrics in a special, weird moment I never thought I’d seen at a goth club (see pics) 🤣.

And most importantly, the night was full of love and friendship. And precision teamwork. I’m reminded again how far we’ve all come as DJs and as people. It was an event we can all be proud of (including the crowd—YOU guys made the fun possible and worth it). Thank you for partying, drinking, dancing and being there to experience it and be part of that joyful energy.

I’ve received a ton of messages since then about how magical it was. That’s the word people keep using: magic. Because it was.

Count on this: we’ve got more plans in the works that include DJ K.0ss and a continuation of the dark and delicious bliss we experienced Saturday.

Steven and I want to thank you for being part of Apparition and for all of the energy and talent you shared Kenneth Cornell, Bobby Stewart and Pepe El Monstrito. Thank you for joining us in a perfect team, Kenny.

We clicked together so well, it was even better than old times—familiar, yet entirely new and evolved, even more thrilling than before. It’s Monday morning and I’m still glowing about it.

Thank you to Rob and Tony (Moonlight crew) and to Joe for the space. We will be adding Moonlight to our Apparition rotation.

I will post all three of our switch off sets once I have a minute this evening to dig into Serato.
