I read this in the Albuquerque Journal today. 🤯 We must stop playing ping pong with our athletes. Sports can be played safely for kids and fans. Coaches are leaders. Let Coaches lead us back to playing sports safely. Education and Graduation rates of kids will be impacted in a negative way if we take activities out of schools. Let’s get a plan and stick to it.

Much Appreciation to NMAA Executive Director Sally Marquez for inviting me to discuss re-opening of High School Sports in New Mexico, today. AD’s tomorrow. It’s a tough job to collaborate so many different thoughts on this issue. I believe HS sports is on its way back!!

We are so sorry to say.

Coach Marcus Pino, Alamo Navajo passed away yesterday from the COVID-19.

Coach Pino was a staple at the annual Coaches Clinic and high school sporting events across the Southwest & northwest. He always had a smile, never met a coach he didn’t respect, and was always first up to help other coaches.

We will miss you, Coach!
