Everyone please go hug a small business owner or self-employed artist.

This is the hardest year, ever.

A few weeks ago we invited people to pick plums. We ended up with a few responses (thank you to those that came out), but still ended up picking over a bushel more of purple plums. We left the rest of the ornamental plums that had begun to shrivel in the heat for the squirrels and birds. We turned what we picked into ~7 gallons of juice. We canned it for turning into jelly later (or drinking since it has a lot of health benefits).

We apologize to anyone who stopped by Los Ranchos Art Market looking for us on Saturday. We were on call for our weekly jobs to deal with the Crowdstrike fallout. We plan to be there this Saturday and hope to see you there.

We still have plums. We discovered today that the ornamentals are to the point where they are good for juicing or making jam. The purple plums are falling off the tree. If anyone wants to come pick plums tomorrow please DM US. We are a few miles north of Isleta reservation. We have ladders and bags. We can loan baskets for the actual picking but fruit will need to go home in bags. FREE. Bear in mind we are completely pesticide free so you will need to soak them for 30 minutes before eating, canning, juicing, or turning into jelly.

The Los Ranchos Art Market is looking for youth vendors. The committee is organizing a booth for 6 artists. Possible start date is Aug 24 (that's tentative, depending on response).

Age: up to 18

Original art only

Each artist will have 1/2 of the side of the both (approximately 5 feet)

Youth artists will need to bring their own table, display(s), packaging, and money for change.

Harvesting the “ornamental “ plum tree. This is 1/10th of this tree. We have 3 other trees that need harvesting. We also have a purple plum (normal sized plums) that needs harvesting. .
