Alvin P. Ross and Myra Bleicher Ross died peacefully at home, he on July 2, 2024, she on July 8, 2024. Both were 95 and on hospice care.
Upon entering eternity, Al was met by his previous wife of 59 years, Marcia, and their son Bruce. Myra was met by her previous husband of 59 years, Norman, and their son David Bleicher.
The two couples were fast friends for 52 years. It started when Al’s daughter Karin Ross met Myra’s son Dave in kindergarten. After their spouses both died in 2009, Al and Myra got together in their 80s and married in 2012.
Al is survived by his daughter Karin, granddaughter Rachel Ross, and great-grandson Grayson. Myra is survived by her son Steven Bleicher and daughter-in-law Gail Rubin.
A joint funeral will be held Wednesday, July 10 at 11:00 a.m. at Congregation Albert Cemetery in Fairview Memorial Park, 700 Yale Blvd. SE.
