This new print focuses again on the Phelps Dodge Strike in Arizona 1983. The bosses at the copper mine dumped truckloads of dirt down the side of the highway, thinking that would stop the women from protesting. The next day the women protested all the way down the road standing on top of the piles of dirt. They called themselves the mile high, mile long women’s picket line ! This print is 18 x24 inches printed with a hand press on archival paper using a reduction Lino cut technique and oil inks. I printed only 4 of this edition.
