Un recuerdito de RUSALKA del mes pasado. Me preguntan muchas personas que porqué no tengo más contenido de mi cantando en las redes. La razón: porque siempre estoy criticándome a mi misma, siempre me digo a mi misma que el producto no está pulido, no es perfecto. I cringe every time I hear a recording that someone else posts of me. 🫣 De verdad. Pero, como dijo el maestro José Alfredo Jiménez, “No soy monedita de oro pa’ caerles bien a todos. Así nací y así soy. Si no me quieren, ni modo.” 😬 However, in this case, those words are mostly directed at me. Self acceptance. It’s hard. I’ll never be Mirella Freni, Scotto, La Stupenda, La Soviero, Callas, but I am Cecilia Violetta López. No soy perfecta, pero he trabajando mucho para poder ser cantante de ópera y muchos han sacrificado de su tiempo para ayudarme para yo poder estar aquí. Thanks to those people who continue to lift me up, support me and remind me to love myself. Singing is hard, guys. My product will always be compared to the greats and their shoes will always be there to fill, but my imperfections, my upbringing, my “todo” is what makes me unique today.
