The demand for Gogo Galileo HDX is greater than it was for Gogo AVANCE L5, which launched in 2017 and quickly became the most widely adopted and fastest-selling inflight connectivity system in business aviation history.

Airbus Helicopters and its partners have conducted a full scale demonstration of a manned-unmanned teaming (MUM-T) system developed as part of a project funded by the European Union and code-named MUSHER. The demonstration took place in France and Italy from 30 September to 9 October and involved multiple manned helicopters and unmanned systems connected to a single MUM-T network.

West Star Aviation announced the completion of its new hangar at the East Alton facility. This milestone follows the groundbreaking in June of 2023 and marks a significant investment in West Star Aviation’s commitment to growth and excellence.

The new hangar, officially named Hangar 67, adds 75,700 square feet of space, including 40,000 square feet of dedicated hangar space and 35,700 square feet of support space for the company’s advanced modification capabilities.

Sweet Aviation is expanding its footprint in Northern Indiana, taking over as the Fixed Base Operator at Goshen Municipal Airport (KGSH). At their August meeting, members of the Goshen Board of Aviation Commissioners approved Sweet Aviation’s request to assume the contract that Goshen Air Center has held since 1992. Goshen Air Center co-founder and current airport manager Randy Sharkey will continue to play a role in the airport’s future.

JEKTA, the Switzerland-based developer of the PHA-ZE 100 aircraft, has signed an agreement with Solyu for 30 of its zero-emissions amphibious aircraft. The deal, which represents JEKTA’s first lessor agreement, brings advanced commitments for JEKTA’s amphibious aircraft to more than US$1 billion in value.

Solyu, based in Seoul, South Korea, is committed to supporting a low-carbon future for aviation and will offer financial and leasing solutions to its operator customers seeking to harness the sustainable qualities of the PHA-ZE 100.
