Epicure opened its doors to the public in March of 2010. Stewarding this space and this business for the past twelve (!!) years has been an unforgettable experience for us. Too many memories to count, but most importantly this place has introduced us to some of our dearest friends — friends who will be part of our lives for decades to come. In the last two years of pandemic time, things have been extra hard. A lot of energy goes into the constant upkeep of this business, and we are all tired. Gus has been ready for some time to move on from this labor of love, to really rest for the first time in a long time, and to tend to his health and family. Recently, we were presented with a sudden and unexpected opportunity to transfer ownership to someone new. They plan to move forward with their own concept in the space, starting with some months of renovations. And so — this Wednesday is the last night of Epicure as we know it.

We know this may come as a surprise to many, and that it may be a lot to process with such short notice. There’s too much going on right now, but once we catch our breath, we will think of some appropriate way to gather. Til then, please know that this isn’t goodbye. We thank you for all of the ways you have made Epicure what it is, and hope we can continue to support each other in new ways moving into the future.
