Our community's firefighters and police officers work around the clock to ensure the safety and well-being of our city. In light of the recent collapse of the Key Bridge, Excelsia came together and extended support through a donation drive.
As our first responders have worked tirelessly around the clock cleaning debris and keeping us safe, we took the opportunity to show our appreciation and support by collecting snacks, hand warmers, and other essential items to provide some comfort and relief to our local heroes and show our gratitude to these dedicated individuals.
Today we honor Juneteenth, a pivotal moment in American history when the end of slavery was enforced at the close of the Civil War in 1865. This day is a powerful reminder of the journey toward freedom and equality.
As we celebrate, it's crucial to reflect on our shared history, acknowledge the contributions of the Black community, and commit to ongoing efforts for justice and inclusion. Let's use this day to educate ourselves, support Black-owned businesses, and foster a more equitable society.
Happy Juneteenth!
