A family owned business specializing in furniture repair, refinishing, reupholstery, and carpet clea In 1951, his father, Adeeb S.
The owner of A & JAD's, Jad Ibrahim, grew up in the business. Ibrahim, established Star Rug Upholstery in this very same location. It was then his family residence and he made room for a workshop in the house. He started out installing wall-to-wall carpet and then added oriental rug cleaning, sales, and service. As time progressed, furniture upholstery and furniture refinishing were added.

Wow! Look at this beautiful solid hardwood chair! This piece is dated to be from the late 70s. We re-secured the frame and springs for a complete new inside! We reupholstered the chair with 100% Italian leather by Garrett Leather

Check out this stunning French chair we completely restored and reupholstered! A designer from the New York area heard about our renowned upholstery shop and brought this piece all the way to Alexandria, VA.
During her visit, she reconnected with an old friend in the area, who turned out to be our cousin—what a small world! This unexpected family reunion was too special not to capture in a photo.

Did you know we fix caning as well? Our owner, Jad, does an amazing job bringing so many pieces of furniture back to life, and that includes caning as well!
What is caning you may ask? It is a method of weaving furniture with rattan cane or rattan peel to a chair either on the seats, or backs of chairs.
