Part 1 Rick Rack Stripes tutorial.

Final coat your cake, make sure the cake is chilled and the buttercream firmed up.

Attached the Rick rack ribbon to the cake, frost the cake using piping bag.
Start with the ribbon area to secure it, smooth it out and scrape it with smooth comb. Make sure to keep scraping until you can see the ribbon slightly.

Pull the ribbon right away when the buttercream still soft. Freeze it for 20 to 30 minutes until the buttercream firmed up

Clean up the excess buttercream on top perimeter using sharp knife and scraper.


Part 2 Rick Rack Stripes tutorial.

Fill the Rick rack slot with the filler buttercream and scrape it right away when the buttercream still soft

Keep scraping with the smooth hound cake comb until you get clean lines. Make sure you work fast and it’s best to work in air conditioning room.
In case your buttercream gets soft, put the cake back in the freezer for about 10 minutes and then continue scraping.

Do not warm your cake comb at this stage if you don’t want to end up with water color.

Gold Drip Recipe :
3 tsp melted coconut oil or cocoa butter
3/4 tsp highlighter gold
3/4 tsp sifted powder sugar

Mix the dry ingredients and then add the melted coconut oil or cocoa butter
Mix well and your drip is ready to use
Make sure your cake is cold.
If your drip is too runny, that means your coconut oil/cocoa butter is too warm. Wait for few minuted and let it cool down until you get perfect consistency. Test it on practice cake first
Adjust the amount of gold highlighter and powder sugar if you want thicker drip to 1 tsp each.
