🚧 M89 Construction Resumes in The City of Allegan 🚧

Stage II of the M89 Construction Project in the City of Allegan resumes Monday, October 14 at 7:00am. Expect a complete closure of the Cutler and Monroe intersections of Cedar Street.

This graphic highlights suggested localized detour routes within the City of Allegan city limits. The Second Street Bridge will be closed to all vehicular traffic during this stage. Downtown Allegan will be open and accessible during construction.

The total Michigan Department of Transportation project is expected to be completed by November 1, 2024.

The final result includes a roundabout, resurfacing M89 from 29th Street to Delano Street, sidewalk reconstruction to include ADA accessibility, as well as storm sewer, sanitary sewer, and water main work.

Please plan ahead and drive safely through construction zones!
