It was great meeting new customers and seeing those of you who came back to visit my booth again this year at the Shippensburg Corn Festival. The rain held off for most of the day and it was a great weather day for shopping the artists and crafters. Thank you for all of your kind comments and purchases. I hope you are enjoying my artwork!
I’ll be at another great arts festival Saturday September 14th in Hummelstown PA. This will be my second time participating in this spectacular Arts Festival. Over 150 artists line Main Street in historic Hummelstown for this festival each year. Come check out their 42nd year from 9:00 to 4:00. It’s another don’t miss craft festival!

I can’t believe it’s time to start thinking about the holidays and putting together gift lists already! Come visit me at the 43rd Annual Shippensburg Corn Festival this Saturday August 31st starting at 8:00. There will be 250 food, crafters, and artists lining King Street giving you all kinds of options for holiday gift buying. You don’t want to miss this great Festival!
Shippensburg Corn Festival always the last Saturday in August
UPDATE! I put the wrong month on my post. It’s August 31st.
I’m heading off to Shippensburg for the second year participating in the Shippensburg Corn Festival. It was a great show last year with lots of talented artists, crafters and food. There will be over 250 participants this year. The Festival is Saturday August 31st from 8:00 to 4:00. You don’t want to miss this great festival.
Thank you to all of you for stopping by my tent on Saturday at Mt Gretna. I appreciate your willingness to not let the weather keep you away. I hope you are enjoying all of your artwork!
I want to let anyone planning on attending the My Gretna Craft Market on Sunday August 18th know that I will not be at the show on Sunday. Due to the treacherous weather forecast, all the vendors were given the option to dismantle their booth after Saturday’s show. I have chosen to do that given the delicate nature of my artwork and the expected severity of the storms on Sunday. I’m sorry if I will be missing you if you planned to attend on Sunday. I want to also thank all of my customers today who purchased my artwork. I appreciate you all coming to the craft show especially given the rainy conditions today. I hope you are enjoying your purchases.
I’m excited to be returning for the second year to this awesome festival! Mark your calendars. It’s a great festival!
NEWS RELEASE / FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
August 2024
HUMMELSTOWN CELEBRATES 42nd ANNUAL ARTS FESTIVAL
Hummelstown’s 42nd Annual Arts Festival is scheduled from 9 AM to 4 PM Saturday, September 14, 2024, along the Borough’s Main Street.
The festival offers something for everyone with more than 150 juried artists, a food court, children’s area and live entertainment.
The children’s area will have a variety of free activities for families including a caricature artist, balloon art animals, face painting by Lower Dauphin High School National Art Honor Society students, along with crafts by Hummelstown Parks & Recreational Board. The Altrusa Club will have free books for kids and the Dauphin County Library will be there with MARCO. Additionally, our local Boy Scouts will be there with their Lego race track.
Music will be provided all day by DJ Bill Runkle, and Studio 22 will perform at 10 am and the Hershey School of Dance will perform at 1 pm on the square. The Lower Dauphin Thespian’s will be in character to entertain and provide an activity throughout the day.
Proceeds from this annual fundraiser benefit college scholarships. Each year, the Robert M. Nisley Memorial Scholarship is awarded to Lower Dauphin Seniors who have exhibited excellent character and have been accepted into a degree program to major or minor in the visual and performing arts or music.
For safety reasons, there are no dogs, skateboards or bicycles permitted during the festival.
For more info, visit Hummelstown Arts Festival or www.hummelstownartsfest.com.
See you at the Mt Gretna Craft Market this Saturday and Sunday August 17th from 9:00 to 6:00 and August 18th from 9:00 to 5:00. It’s my first event this year where I’ll be displaying my Christmas season artwork. It’s never too early to begin your Christmas gift buying.
I’m excited to be participating in the Mt Gretna Craft Market on the grounds of the historic Mt Gretna Park Saturday August 17th from 9:00 to 6:00 and Sunday August 18th from 9:00 to 5:00. I’ve been working furiously to create beautiful pieces for all of you to see. Please note there are two craft shows going on in Mt Gretna the same day so you will have double the arts and crafts to enjoy in Mt Gretna. It’s a great opportunity to get your Christmas shopping done early. I am participating in the Craft Market in the Mt Gretna Park by the roller skating rink. The Chautauqua Arts Center is also having their fine arts show in their facility as well with an admission fee. So you have double the shopping fun!
See you at the Hummelstown Arts Festival. It’s my second year as an artisan at this fun festival!

I have a busy August coming up so my workshop is my home right now. Here are some pieces I will be bringing to the Mt Gretna Craft Market August 17th and 18th. Then I will be at the Shippensburg Corn Festival August 31st for the second time. Stay cool!🌬️
It was an early morning but I’m all set up for the Mechanicsburg Jubilee Day. Main Street is lined with over 325 food, community organizations, and crafters for everyone to enjoy. Come and enjoy some good food, entertainment, and shopping. And a special thank you to my husband for getting an early morning start with me to help me set up for the event. ❤️
While the rest of the Lehigh Valley is sweating it out in a heat wave, my hands are frosty in the workshop. I’m getting ready for the holidays, but I’ll be bringing my spring and summer artwork to Mechanicsburg Jubilee Day this Thursday June 20th from 10:00 to 9:00. Come and enjoy 325 vendors in the streets of Mechanicsburg!
It may be a balmy summer day, but in my workshop it’s 30 degrees and snowing. And I think I hear sleigh bells in the distance. I’m probably the only one thinking about Christmas right now, but I’ve got some new craft festivals coming up in the fall and I am working on artwork for the holidays. In the meantime, my next craft festival is the Mechanicsburg Jubilee Day on June 20th from 10:00 to 9:00. I’m a first time participant in this street fair and I’ll be one of 325 vendors. I’ll see you there.
I am preparing for my next arts festival. It’s been an active last few weeks in my workshop as I am gearing up to be a first time artisan at Mechanicsburg’s Jubilee Day on Thursday June 20th from 10:00 to 9:00. It is the longest running street fair in the East Coast with over 325 vendors participating offering food, games, entertainment, and arts and crafts. It’s the 94th year of the festival. Here are some of my latest creations from the workshop.
Thank you to all the folks who stopped by my booth yesterday. We made it through most of the day without any rain so I was super excited for that. I enjoyed participating in the Danville Spring Fling. Thank you to all of my customers for your purchases and especially to my returning customers. It’s always fun to meet and talk to everyone! Special thanks to my loyal assistant Kandy Lang for making it another great Shells By Miss Shell outing!
Join me at the 38th annual Danville Spring Fling this Saturday May 4th from 9:00 to 4:00. Shop at over 200 crafter and food vendors and enjoy activities for the kids and listen to live music. I’m bringing over 150 pieces of my artwork for you to enjoy!

It was an early start this morning. I’m all set up and ready for the Pennsylvania Cannabis Festival. The gate opens at 10:00 and the festival goes till 5:00. It’s a beautiful Soring day! Thanks to my Mom for being with me to help me out! And thanks to my husband for assisting me with tent setup❤️Being a short person is not conducive to tent construction. 😀
These are my final additions that I’m bring along to the Pennsylvania Cannabis Festival this Saturday and Sunday April 20th and 21st ftom 10:00 to 5:00. Note that there is an admission fee. There will be over 250 vendors, live music, and unique food. Come check out the festival.
I was recently made aware that my Shells By Miss Shell website was missing all of my upcoming shows on my calendar. Sorry for that glitch. I just updated my calendar again so you should be able to view all of my upcoming shows. Sorry for the inconvenience.
I’m making a final push to make a few more pieces to bring along to Cannafest this Saturday and Sunday at Renningers Farmers Market in Kutztown from 10:00 to 5:00. Come check out all the new pieces I’ve been working on this winter!
