What a wonderful time we had at the Hispanic Center of Lehigh Valley last week. Although it was only a free health screening event offered from Rittersville Pharmacy to the seniors at the center, we had really good time with the staff and the seniors and we learned a lot from them in return. At Rittersville Pharmacy, we love to give back to the community and we continuously look for the opportunities to give back to our seniors in whatever way we can. We look forward to get more involved in the community in future.

Welcome to The Chamber, Pharmacy!

The most common question we hear from our patients “Should I take Tylenol or Advil?”
It really depends on what we are trying to relieve (muscle pain, toothache, headache, or just fever?). Although Tylenol can help with mild pain and fever, it has minimal effect when it comes to toothache or muscle pain and Advil can help in that case. If liver problems are present, we always advise to either lower the dose of Tylenol or completely avoid in severe liver complications. Avoid Tylenol to relieve headache associated with hangover since it can react with the alcohol in the body and can further damage the liver by creating free radicals. Take Advil instead.
While Tylenol is bad for liver, Advil affects kidneys. Avoid Advil in kidney complications.
Always ask your pharmacist or doctor if you have questions on dosing of these pain relievers!!
