United States Marine Corps Recruiting Sub Station Allentown
The Marines of RSS Allentown are dedicated to finding the most qualified young citizens in the greater Lehigh Valley Area and affording them the opportunity to EARN the title of United States Marine.
Once our applicants are found physically, morally, and mentally qualified to join our ranks at the Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS), they are officially a part of the Marine Corps Delayed Entry Program (DEP) and considered a Marine Corps Poolee.
What is the Delayed Entry Program (DEP)? The DEP allows all of our Poolees the time required to prepare for their journey to Marine Corps Recruit Training at Parris Island, South Carolina. In the DEP, Poolees will conduct physical training at least once a week with their respective Recruiters. This physical training provides tailored guidance and mentorship to ensure you are mentally and physically ready for the challenges of recruit training. You must learn to crawl before you can walk, and walk before you can run. Each Poolee has varied levels of physical fitness, and we strive to work with each Poolee to reach their full potential.
Throughout your time in the Delayed Entry Program, you will be mentored by the recruiters and Staff Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge (SNCOIC) in order to develop your self-confidence and confidence in your team. The Marine Corps core values are Honor, Courage, and Commitment. You will learn to embody these values and live by them.
