Alliance parade, party to hail MLK's service Alliance's 27th Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. parade and celebration will be Saturday. Free food will be after noon parade at Maple Beach Park.

This weekend we are celebrating our 27th MLK PARADE! Can’t wait to see everyone!!! Starts at 12 noon on Saturday.

Alliance to celebrate MLK with 26th parade, party Five-section parade, free food at Maple Beach Park set for Saturday in Carnation City.

The parade and events are scheduled for Saturday, August 26, 2023, beginning at 12:00 noon.

Line up at 11:00 am on Liberty, Waugh, Devine, Ohio, College, and Rice.

Information area: Corner of South and Martin Luther King Blvd. (Liberty).

Parade Route: Traveling north on MLK Blvd. (Liberty), continuing north across MLK Viaduct, east on Patterson Street, north on Oak Avenue, east on Reed Street and disbursing at Maple Beach Park.

Park Celebration will Include FREE hotdogs and hamburgers, Live DJ, Car Show, vendors with soul food, sweet treats, jewelry, clothing and more. Events at Maple Beach Park will last until approximately 6:00 p.m.

The Alliance, Ohio, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Steering Committee, founded by the late Evelyn Brown, over 25 years ago, is dedicated to honoring the memory and legacy of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

By providing community events and educational programs we hope to teach each generation about the role MLK played as a civil rights leader. It is important to celebrate the accomplishments MLK achieved, so it is with great pride that we host our annual MLK Parade.

We are striving to advance unity, equality, and inclusion for all members of our community.
