It's the holiday season, which means it's also cold and flu season. Come see us for tips on how to boost your immune system this winter.
Did you know that 42% of Americans are vitamin D deficient? Vitamin D plays a role in many different functions in the body, but is especially important for the immune system. It has an anti-inflammatory affect and also boosts the production of immune system cells to help fight infections.
Vitamin C also plays a big role in immune function. Vitamin C is an antioxidant, meaning it protects the body from oxidative stress caused by free radicals. Vitamin C also plays a role in the production of immune cells and antibodies.
Lastly, chiropractic adjustments can help boost the immune system by reducing stress hormones such as cortisol. Adjustments also remove any interference in the nervous system, and the nervous system controls everything in the body, including your immune system.
We will be closed this week Monday October 24th- Friday October 28th, and have limited hours the following week or two after that. Dr. Nick’s baby decided he wanted to join the family a few weeks early! So he will be at home getting settled in with his new addition to his family.
