Self-compassion is defined as “being warm and understanding toward ourselves when we suffer, fail, or feel inadequate.” (Kristin Neff)

Challenge yourself this week to talk to yourself like you would a close friend and you just might find that it makes a big difference.

Self-compassion is defined as “being warm and understanding toward ourselves when we suffer, fail, or feel inadequate.” (Kristin Neff)

Probably the easiest way to begin to do this is to try to talk to yourself like you would a close friend. This causes us to be a lot more gentle and to include context in our shortcomings.

Would you challenge yourself to try this for a week? And see what a difference it makes?
