It’s easy to think “ugh, that wasn’t a good ride” But rewatching the video there were so many wins: - Connie’s work ethic is unmatched, she shows up focused and excited to work. As a barely 5 year old OTTB, that’s a win in itself! - you can SEE her top line working! 3 exercises to develop a strong, deep, well rounded core 👉🏼 If your core is a cylinder, we gotta strengthen all parts! The front, back, and sides! That’s what we are targeting here. 1. Side planks - make sure your ear, shoulder, hips, and knees are in a straight line. It’s common for the hips to be behind the rest of you, squeeze those glutes!! - go for reps (8-10) or for time (30 sec hold) on each side 2. Deadbugs - keep your legs active by pointing your toes up towards the sky - hold your arms straight up over your shoulders, as if you’re hugging a fair bear - draw in your belly button to press your low back down and into the floor - hold for 30 seconds, remember to breath!! 3. Birddogs - press your hands into the floor, making the space between your shoulder blades wide and strong - make yourself as LONG as possible. You DO NOT get bonus points for getting your arm and leg up high! - consciously check that your hips and shoulders are level before returning to the starting position - repeat 8-10 times on each side If done properly and frequently, your core will be indestructible 😎 Share & save these so you can continue building that solid foundation. keep your eyes out for future videos that go into details on how to progress these exercises!
