While in Florence, I learned that Leonardo da Vinci was commissioned for a painting by a very wealthy man. Leonardo quoted him a price for the work of art, and the man agreed to pay half of what Leonardo requested. Leonardo turn down the commissioned artwork and weeks later, the man came back and agreed to pay what Leonardo had originally asked for Leonardo than double the price of the commissioned artwork. if you don’t value your stylists time or boundaries how do you expect the artist to react? we are worthy of taking time off having insurance, and making an affordable living wage that on top of running our own business by ourselves in most cases. So, if you can’t even respect that artist fundamentally, then it’s not a fit. Respect is a two-way street.

It’s always disappointing to read posts by people who do not value stylists or artist. To read a post that basically gives permission to clients to treat stylists a certain way. I love being in the service industry but a servant I am not. I continue to cultivate a clientele that respect my time and energy because I put a lot into what I do and it takes a lot to run your own business. that energy is 100% reciprocated every time unconditionally. I will always work with my clients budget and understand that gratuity is not always guaranteed. however, there are boundaries to that clause, and as two consenting adults entering a relationship together we both have to acknowledge that. for my mental health. I will no longer be in Facebook hair forums. They are toxic on both sides of the chair, and I encourage my fellow stylist to do the same.

Leaving Rome with is expression on my face! Completely mind blowing experience that I will never forget. Can’t wait to get back behind the chair and see all you’re smiles! .

Last night in the in now heading back to for the night. It’s been a lovely trip but I’m ready to do some hair! I guess I’m grateful to have a career that I want to come home to. My cup is full!

I use a hand painting technique called Is balayage more expensive than full color? No. Many find the balayage treatment more expensive than full color. The reason is that balayage is a hand-painted method that requires more time, skills, hair products, and effort. The result is a soft natural grow out that allows you to go 12 to 16 weeks between appointments making it more cost-effective by stretching out your visit to the salon. Well this is less economical for me. It is better for my client budget and creates a nice soft lock that is very natural, using your phone celebration as the canvas well and a deck and dimension throughout.

Today has been a gift to myself. 40 years around the Sun. David is so much better then I could have imagined. I wish there was more time to see the intricacy’s of Michelangelo’s work. I came here to fall back in love with life and I truly believe this is the reminder I needed. Sometimes I’m the artist other times I’m the art. Both are real l simultaneously.

The color palette you choose can rescue you.

These **s they’re trying to kill me!

I’m seeing so many natural here in Italy. Redhead are one of my favorite I have to admit!! However they are probably one of the highest maintenance colors and here’s why…if you have dark hair it must be lightened first. If your stylist is knowledgeable they will lift your hair to a night orange. This is hard for some because we spend 98.7% of or time avoiding this level at all costs. If your hair is lifted to light the porosity is lower. The “red” molecule is a medium sized molecule however there’s a lot of gold in a redhead. [This is why I’ve always wondered why they are called redhead. Clearly it’s orange but I digress] yellow is a very small molecule and will leave the hair first. This is why redhead fade so quickly. It’s important that a redhead at lease 4-5 weeks get frequent toners to maintain the juice red they crave.

Fall is around the corner.

Brunettes can have fun too! This is a hand painted brunette melt using multiple techniques to achieve a seamless lived in brunette. You don’t have to blonde! Adding some subtle highlights for dimension can add movement to the hair, make the hair appear fuller or make the hair color look more natural. Highlights don’t have to be BAM! They can be ooh La La 🤣🤣🤣

Just got to the castle, and the view is spectacular. I’m only crying a little

Today would have been grandma’s birthday. Still miss here. I honer her by taking her ashes with me when I travel. Yesterday I left a litle by the Trevi fountain. She would have rolled her eyes and said “GA I told you to flush me down the toilet” lol so far the trip has been magic. It seems like everyone here is celebrating something where they realize it or not. There’s a couple that has been together over 40 years, there is someone who has lost their best friend and they are here to honor his memory. The lesson on this trip is to let go and not let life pass you. I have not always lived intentionally and I have let relationships go instead of work through them and I regret that but when you know better you do better and I will always try to do better. I miss you.

Rome has been enchanting so far. I can already tell you I’m going to be busting with creative energy when I get home. I think I slept and hour in the last two days.

Yes, even at home I measure my formulations. I have enough pride in my work that I measure my for relations that only for my guests, but for myself at home because it matters the amount of hydroperoxide to the amount of color molecules matters I don’t just wing it. there is chemistry and what I do you can’t just buy this at the dollar store. This is also a form of self care …lol and yes, I have everything labeled in my apartment because I’m OCD lol

Honestly, I come here a lot. I’m constantly impressed by there customer service and calming atmosphere. I strive to create an environment like this for my own guests.

Doing hair… Yeah, it’s great! But, reminding you that you’re a beautiful, confident woman is the real reason I get up in the morning. My continuing education as a Hair artist only acts as a catalyst for this passion. You can’t do the at with AI!! .

Stoped into .garden for a little lunch. Super cute atmosphere with great food.
