Bardiglio is often call ‘Bardiglio Scuro’ with Scuro meaning ‘Dark’ in Italian. This Dark Grey marble is a perfect combination with our collection of Carrara Marble Tile. The 12x12" looks regal enough on its own but combine this 12x12" Carrara or Venato Carrara and you create an incredible Harlequin pattern to rival that of any Northern Italian Palazzo. Venato Carrara is a beautifully white based marble with some dramatic gray veining, but not in any frequency that would make the design "busy" otherwise we would just have Carrara Bianco (which we also have). How white is the base? A common question you can see it against the white trim of the window. It is a beautiful marble with a base whiter than Carrara Bianco. As we go whiter in base color there can be some earth tones which some customers keep and want more.... others over order by an additional 5-10% depending on the look and remove it all discarding the tiles they do not want in their design. This is after all a masterpiece. A one of a kind design.

It is the simple designs that past the test of time. Carrara Bianco 6x12" with a Carrara Bianco 5/8" square mosaic framed by a black Nero Marquina (I would have considered framing it with a Bardiglio Gray for a lighter touch). Then the floor is a matching mosaic to tie the wall mosaic into the floor. Simple. Classic. Timeless.

Stunning Carrara Venato!! The best thing about a classic is that it would not matter if this was designed in 1922 or 2022 (I have seen it from both decades) and it is still perfect. The idea you will never have to remodel again. That this is not a "pink tile" trend you have to rip out in five years. Never underestimate grout. Details makes the difference. This looks like two products. It is actually just one (the one sheet in the middle) one sample board is with black grout the other white grout and the contrast is amazing.

Calacatta Gold is best known for its white background with dramatic gold and grey veining attributes. There are so many fake versions due to the complexity of the product and a lot of misinformation.

Getting perfection in Calacatta Gold is not at all simple. Buying from Italy, finding the perfect block to extraction and cutting. The challenges are similar to trying to find a "pure diamond". It is rare and when you do..... When we have it cut, see it in process, see it in the box this is exciting in the tile world. This same product in a High-End boutique retailer is $140.00 a Square Foot (direct from a quarry less than half at the time of this post from The Builder Depot). Then to see a perfectly executed design by Sitka Concept after 6-9 months of work painstaking work just on our side is a joy.
