We had five dancers attend Encore Extreme in Columbia, South Carolina last weekend to take classes, compete their brand new solos, and audition for the Dream Team. We are so proud of all of them for their hard work last weekend!

Congratulations! Makaehla Beckel & Juliana Montrella received a diamond adjudication and were the highest scoring duo/trio/group dance age 12 & over for their duet, “14 Days,” choreographed by Natalie Aikens. Amazing job! We are excited to watch this piece all season!
Congratulations to Makaehla Beckel! Makaehla was crowned as Senior Miss Encore Extreme and received a Mic Drop adjudication (near perfect score) in Columbia, South Carolina this past weekend for her contemporary solo, “The Empress,” choreographed by Natalie Aikens. We are so proud of you and cannot wait to watch you shine all season! Keep up the hard work!
Happy Halloween 🎃 Students can wear their Halloween costumes to dance starting this Thursday! Please make sure dancers are still able to dance in their costume.
We will not have class on Thursday, October 31st since it is Trick-Or-Treat night.

Amazing! Zoe Binus and Ella Monahan had the highest scoring dance out of all the duets, trios, and group dances at Encore Extreme for their duet, “Read All About It,” choreographed by Rachel Monahan. They received a $500 cash prize for their hard work. Congratulations girls and Rachel!

We are so thrilled to announce that Mia Noel was selected as the first ever recipient of the Encore DCS Artist Endowment scholarship worth $10,000. Mia is attending Pointe Park University in the fall to receive her B.F.A. in Dance. Mia is extremely dedicated, humble, kind, and a wonderful leader. She is truly so deserving of this scholarship, and we could not be more happy/proud of her. Her winning this scholarship was the cherry on top of our amazing week at Encore DCS Grand Finals. Mia your future is so bright, and we cannot wait to see what stages you will be dancing on. Good luck, we will miss you! Thank you to Encore DCS and Jessica Schaefer for creating this incredible scholarship!
Congratulations to Natalie Aikens and the dancers of “The Rain” and “Vogue!” These dances were selected as the best performance of their category and won. “The Rain” was selected as the best performance in a speciality category and “Vogue” was selected as the best jazz performance of the entire competition. Great job!
