If you’re looking for Southern charm, amazing cuisine, and the sweetest people, Southeast Louisiana can’t be beat! The big cities are nice, but those smaller towns have so much to offer too.

A month or so ago I was able to go with Southeast Louisiana Gumbo Group and Tourism Tactics By Tico to experience a few of those amazing places inbetween Baton Rouge and New Orleans. We had the best time! This video is a long one, but I think it really captures the heart of the people in each place we stopped at.

…because most of them are owned and run by REAL people. And in our case this weekend, people who have chickens and bake bread.

Whether you're into the unexplained, history, or antebellum architecture, you just have to check out The Myrtles in Visit St. Francisville. This plantation home has quite the history to it, but it also has a cute coffee shop (Elta Coffee), a stunning restaurant (Restaurant 1796), and a few cottage to stay at on the property. If you saw a bunch of veterans walking around this morning, you might have seen this guy of mine (last photo)! The hosted a 6 mile ruck (in the grossest weather possible) this morning and put flags out on veteran graves at both Oak Park Cemetery and Confederate Cemetery. It is such a hard day for these guys as they remember those comrades that are no longer here and I’m so glad they have one another to lean on. Thank you to all of our military personnel that lost their lives serving our country. ❤️🤍💙

I love the glow of Christmas. Today as I sit here wrapping Christmas presents by my tree, I’m reminded of just how blessed I am this holiday season. It’s amazing how fast life can change and I’m so thankful for where my life is this holiday season. I have a lot to be thankful for.

A couple weeks ago, I was able to go see the Gran Turismo premiere and I’ll tell you - if you loved the video game, you’ll love the movie.

This movie depicts the TRUE STORY of how Nissan and Gran Turismo teamed up to take the world’s top gamers and put them behind the wheel of a REAL race car in REAL races with professional drivers. Talk about a rush!

Sometimes, people come into your life when you least expect them to.

For anyone who is unhappy in your situation, know that if you trust God to get you through it, he will bless you far more than you ever thought possible - though the ending just may not look like what you thought it would.

After my marriage ended, I was totally fine with the idea of being alone. I had zero desire to date and had pleasantly resigned to just doing life on my own. I actually prayed that God would keep me hidden from any man that wasn’t supposed to be in my life.

And then enter this guy.

This Godly man is strong, dependable, kind, compassionate, and absolutely everything I could ever ask for - and then some.

Am I gushing? Maybe. But when God gives you the blessing you never knew you needed, you praise Him for it.

Adam, thank you for always leading our relationship in a way that honors God and by showing me that this kind of love is possible. You have the best heart of anyone I know and I am so thankful we get to be part of one another’s lives.

The Barbie movie was fabulous! And ’s monologue on the unrealistic expectations of women was fan-freaking-tastic! Such a great movie!

Also, did we buy outfits especially for this movie watching experience? Yep! Did we also sneak our own snacks into the theater because I’m too cheap to buy them there? Also yes.
