FEMA announces more than $2 million to help flood-prone Eastwick 07/17/2024

In partnership with local community leaders from groups like Eastwick United, Lutheran Disaster Response – Eastern PA worked to rebuild 45 homes following Hurricane Isaias in 2020. The flood mitigation tactics that the funding described in the article below describe, ensure that those who had very few options other than to repair their homes, will be safe for years to come.

FEMA announces more than $2 million to help flood-prone Eastwick The funding will pay for the construction of HESCO flood barriers — a series of metal baskets containing a fabric filled with a soil mixture that blocks the overflow of water.

The Manor at York Town recognized current Manor dining staff and recent CB South High School graduate, Tyler. Tyler will attend Bloomsburg University in the fall and plans to remain working at The Manor on holidays and summer break. Tyler said that he has truly enjoyed his job at The Manor over the last 4 years. Congratulations and good luck, Tyler!
