In partnership with local community leaders from groups like Eastwick United, Lutheran Disaster Response – Eastern PA worked to rebuild 45 homes following Hurricane Isaias in 2020. The flood mitigation tactics that the funding described in the article below describe, ensure that those who had very few options other than to repair their homes, will be safe for years to come.

FEMA announces more than $2 million to help flood-prone Eastwick The funding will pay for the construction of HESCO flood barriers — a series of metal baskets containing a fabric filled with a soil mixture that blocks the overflow of water.

Resident-Focused Dining: How The Hearth At Drexel Enhances the Senior Dining Experience - The Hearth at Drexel Director of Dining Services at The Hearth at Drexel, Chris Morris, provides excellent customer service to residents by visiting with them in their apartments, to learn what they like to eat and what favorite meal ideas they have for the future.

The Manor at York Town recognized current Manor dining staff and recent CB South High School graduate, Tyler. Tyler will attend Bloomsburg University in the fall and plans to remain working at The Manor on holidays and summer break. Tyler said that he has truly enjoyed his job at The Manor over the last 4 years. Congratulations and good luck, Tyler!

For over thirty years a group of businesses, close friends and casual acquaintances have come together in early spring to play golf and raise money for the Artman Benevolent Care Fund. All proceeds from the Artman Golf Outing support this fund to provide care for residents in Artman who have outlived their assets.
