In honor of the first day of the NFL season, I’m posting the adorable sports themed photo session 🏈⚽️ We had such a blast capturing these adorable memories and really leaning into this little one’s favorite sports! Can you just imagine him taking his senior photos one day in the same spot? 🥹🥹🥹

Christmas mini sessions are live!! Sessions will take place in a studio in Clarence, NY (yay, no cold outside weather!) on Saturday, November 16th. Three sets will be available including two backdrops, and one cozy bed set up (perfect for Christmas pajama photos!). I was so thrilled when Suki reached out about graduation photos! Graduating is such a huge life milestone and an amazing moment to have captured 🎓 Even better, we stopped by UB over two months after graduation, which made the session even more perfect, because the campus was completely calm with plenty of space for us to use 😊

I’m so excited so share this adorable extended family session 🤍 This session was a Mother’s Day and Father’s Day gift, and it couldn’t be more special! I highly recommend doing at least one extended family session with your kids, as these memories will last a lifetime!

It is so special to have families that put their trust in you to come into their little bubble in the first 48 hours of their new bundle of joy’s life. Little Miss Sofia was 30 hours new in this world, and was the perfect little angel for her session 💖

Motherhood Minis were so special this past weekend, I can’t wait to continue to share all the precious moments captured 😊 I am considering adding another day of minis for those who are interested (after Mother’s Day, so you may want to suggest it to Dad as a gift *wink wink*). Over the weekend, I went to .716 meetup at , which was such a fun and amazing way to meet and learn from other photographers! As many of you know, I have heavily shifted to family documentary style sessions. Capturing every day life, in-home, with me being a fly on the wall. Naturally, studio sessions don’t fall into family documentary photography (even though I still love them), BUT this little piece of today made me feel “at home” when these two cuddled up on the bed and were playing peek-a-boo under the covers 🥹 Don’t forget to book your Motherhood Mini!!

I am a bit behind posting on Facebook as compared to Instagram (so if you aren’t already, you should follow on Instagram!), so some of you may have already seen this!

Over the past two years, I have been indecisive on what I want my photography and editing styles to be. I enjoy a variety of editing styles, but what calls to me the most is something calm, and true to color. I want you to be able to look back at your photos and remember exactly how your nursery looked, for example. After all, we spend hours on end picking every tiny detail!

I spent time re-editing a sample of photos in my new and improved editing style, and have included them in this post for you to take a look at! Our website has also been updated.

It’s 2024, and it’s time for some big changes to B. Bartula Photography! 🖤

When I started my photography business, I focused on a mix of posed sessions and lifestyle sessions. However, I realized, my passion sat elsewhere.

I became a mom, life moved fast, and the newborn days became blurry.

I would sit with my daughters reading a book before bed - wishing I had that moment captured forever.

I would be in our playroom with my toddler, who was making me a play-food sandwich (that consisted of peanut butter, jelly, lettuce, and chips), hearing her say “Here you go mama” - wishing I had that moment captured forever.

I would see my almost 2-year-old run up and kiss her newborn sister unprompted, then tickle her feet laughing - wishing I had that moment captured forever.

These moments made me realize that while for the longest time I always just hoped to have a picture of all of us smiling and looking at the camera, that I would much rather remember these real, pure moments instead. The chaos, the heartfelt hugs and kisses, the tantrums - everything that made our life what it truly was. I wanted perfect pictures of the imperfect daily life we lived.
.. And so - I decided to completely change my photography business, with the goal of providing you a perfect gallery of your imperfect daily life. I won’t focus on perfect outfits, I won’t focus on forced smiles, I won’t make the kids stand in one place. You’ll have fun, you’ll live your daily life, you can even brush your teeth, and I will be there capturing it all.

I am so very excited to introduce “Day in the Life” sessions to my little business, and making them my main focus. I am not sure exactly where this new path might take me, but I’m excited to make the switch, no matter what may happen! If you are interested in learning more, reach out!!
