Let's all welcome new NYSPTA board member, Will Bernatovich. Will has been part of the Parking industry since he was a young kid. In the beginning he was a technician working for Ber-National Controls installing all styles of parking systems as well as CCTV, Access Control and Intercom systems. This knowledge and hands on experience lead to Will’s future - more major involvement in Ber-National Controls. As the years went on, he gained knowledge in other areas of the industry including the NYPSTA conferences across NY State and IPMI conferences across the country. Year after year the customer relationship establishments combined with industry leading installations have led to Will’s next step
in his career that is to join the Board of NYSPTA.
After the position of technician, Will moved into system design and
project sales and management. As the company grew, so did Will as he now holds the position of Director of Sales and CFO.
His Father, Jeff Bernatovich is the owner and CEO of Ber-National Controls, Inc. serving the Parking Service Industry for over 30 years and serving on the board of NYSPTA for multiple years. Will wants to follow in his fathers foot steps and join the Board of NYSPA. The company specializes in Parking, Access Controls, CCTV, Fire,
Intercom systems and many more. Beginning as a technician to becoming the CFO of the company, Will is still eager to learn and grow as a NYSPTA board member to gain more relationships and experiences in the industry.
His firsthand perspective of the skills needed to create
opportunities by installations, working out bids and campaigns
with many different companies and organizations will help the
Board set strategic direction in the future.
From experiences at the ground level to where Will is now, he can provide guidance on industry-specific projects and provide a sense of direction of new programs/products for educational, training, and membership situations. From his long history of NYSPTA and
IPMI conferences he will be able to engage in meetings, trainings, and other educational and networking offerings.
TODAY - Port Authority to hike tolls on Jan. 7 at NY-NJ bridges and tunnels
The hikes come ahead of a controversial congestion pricing plan that is slated to start in March, which will see Gotham drivers forced to pay an additional toll of $15 when they exit the Holland or Lincoln tunnels and enter Manhattan’s central business district south of 60th Street.

Happy Holidays and a Heartfelt “Thank You”!
Dear Members and Supporters of NYSPTA,
It pleases me to wish you all a safe and happy holiday season. I have often expressed that there is something truly special about the New York State Parking and Transportation Association. That
“special” thing is you! While I am extremely proud of the Association’s ability to advance its mission throughout the years https://www.nysparkingandtransportation.com/what-we-do , I am mostly happy about the manner in which we do it. I refer to this group (our Association) as “special” because nowhere else will you find such a complete collection of kind, enthusiastic, knowledgeable, generous and selfless individuals. I would also be remiss if I did not share a warm, heartfelt “thank you” for your
friendship and support, especially over the last two (2) years when I have served as President of the Association.
I am also truly excited about the future of the Association. It would be difficult to find a more caring and enthusiastic leader than incoming President Krista Tassa. Krista will enter 2024 with an incredible group of eleven (11) other Board Members who all share the same kindness and enthusiasm. We wish them all the very best and we are delighted to know that the Association is in great hands.
Now join me and in true NYSPTA fashion, raise a glass and toast an amazing year in retrospect, followed by another toast wishing you all a happy, safe, and healthy New Year.
Best regards,
Patrick H. Phillips
President
