The Intermediate League wrapped up its fall session in spirited style, as players took to the court on Halloween night for a final showdown that was equal parts tricks, treats, and fierce competition.

Paul O'Reilly proved unstoppable, clinching the top position with 73 points.

Cindy Makarowsky showcased her tenacity, securing a strong second-place finish with 69 points.

Brian Kelly rounded out the podium with 67 points, demonstrating skill and consistency.

Last night, under the bright lights, the top 8 scorers in the Mid-Intermediate League Championship Game took the court with one goal: victory! The night kicked off with all the intensity you'd expect, but a sudden fall by one of the league's talented female players brought the action to a pause. Thankfully, her injuries were minor and didn't require medical attention, though they did keep her from continuing the game. With quick thinking and teamwork, we enlisted an Open Play participant to fill in and ensure the games would roll on!

The matches resumed and when the dust finally settled, it was Matthew Bobilin who stood victorious, clinching the top spot with a remarkable 76 points, narrowly missing a perfect score! Hot on his heels, Jason Solghan claimed second place with an impressive 66 points, while Russell Adams rounded out the podium in third with a solid 62 points.

Congratulations to our champions, and a big thank you to all players who made this season unforgettable! And to our injured friend, we’re sending our best wishes for a quick recovery—your pickleball family can’t wait to see you back on the court!

In the Intermediate Plus League’s Championship game last night, Randy Smith put up a flawless score of 77 and secured the gold medal.

Matthew Bobilin put up a strong performance as well, finishing with a solid 66 points to claim the silver medal. In a tight contest for third, Ken Sluti and Trey Ausfeld both posted a score of 57 After factoring in the number of games won, Ken narrowly edged out Trey to take home the bronze.

This evening we witnessed the thrilling culmination of the past eight weeks in the Novice League, and it all came down to this final showdown!

Brian Kelly emerged as the reigning champion of the entire league, wrapping up his stellar season with a perfect score today and a powerful gold medal victory!

And if that wasn’t heart-stopping enough, Terry Viola and Dave Jordan battled neck-and-neck for silver and bronze, with a razor-thin margin separating them (1 point)! Terry clinched the silver in an epic showdown, while Dave proudly took home the bronze.

Congratulations to all the players, you should be proud of yourselves. We sure are!!

Get ready for a fun and competitive week in the Monday Rec League as we dive into Championship Week! The top 8 overall scorers are battling for medals, while the remaining 6 players will keep the energy high with some thrilling round-robin matchups.

There’s been a shake-up in the top 8—Valerie Kline ranked 5th with an impressive 483 points, but she's unable to play this week. Stepping in to seize the moment is Debra Carrese, moving up from 9th place to secure the 8th spot with 436 points!

Here’s the lineup of our medal contenders:

Jim Scheckton leads the pack with an incredible 542 points.
Paul O'Reilly is hot on his heels with 516 points.
Dave Jordan brings the heat with 502 points.
Lorraine Scheckton is right behind at 499 points—it’s a family affair!
Tamara Berberich (476 points) and Kathy Sullivan (475 points) are neck-and-neck, both looking for a medal.
Christine Riccio holds strong at 469 points, ready to make her move.
And last but not least, Debra Carrese is stepping up to show she’s ready to shine!

In the Sunday Novice League, all 8 participants will hit the courts, but the top 4 players—determined by their overall scores—will battle it out for ultimate bragging rights on Court 4.

Leading the pack is Brian Kelly with a stunning 512 points, but close behind is Dave Jordan with 487 points, ready to make his move. Watch out for Terry Viola (427 points) and Matt Casler (412 points), both eager to prove they can steal the gold in this thrilling contest!

Over on Court 3, Lisa Russo, Lauran Hester, Kasha Smith, and Tyler Cronk will give it everything they've got in their final matches, promising a fierce fight until the very last point.
