Happy St. Patrick's Day!
Most air conditioners operating today are estimated to be between eight to 10 years old. The newest units being manufactured are around 20-50% larger in length, height, and width than they were only a few years ago. This allows for more power and better performance.
Due to the large size of modern air conditioners, the location that your old one is in may not be able to accommodate a new one. Sometimes, the air conditioner will need to be relocated, which may require moving equipment or modifying your home’s ductwork. Fortunately, that’s what we’re here for. We take any steps necessary to get your new AC unit installed and running perfectly.
We will provide you with a straightforward explanation as to how we can solve the problem, the repair process, and a quote for the work. Some common ductwork issues include duct leakage, under-insulated ducts, and unbalanced airflow.
In older homes, we may discover asbestos during our inspection, which is important to get removed right away. We can also determine whether you need a new system (poor duct design, undersized, oversized, bad connections, etc.), or if your existing system just needs patching up.
Regain comfort in your home by contacting our duct repair experts today. Our team of efficient and reliable technicians can help with whatever job you need done. We stay up to date with all of the energy-efficient solutions available in LA and Orange County to give you trustworthy results.
Happy President's Day!
Happy Valentines!
Your air duct system is a crucial part of your HVAC system, since it moves hot and cold air throughout your entire home. Many homeowners are living with leaky, inefficient, and unreliable ducts in their homes. This means that your HVAC system is being forced to work harder to get your home to the temperature you want. Not only does this waste money and energy, but it also affects the comfort of your home.
If you suspect that your ducts need repair, call us. The process usually starts with an inspection, where we identify any issues that may be hindering duct performance. If damaged ducts are leading to poor airflow in your home, then fixing them can lead to:
Reduced air leakage/span>
Lower electrical costs
Less dust and cleaner air
Improved comfort
Is your ductwork damaged, old, or not functioning properly? You may not be able to tell without calling a professional; most homeowners have never seen their ducting since it is hard to access. Damaged ducts can nevertheless affect your comfort and, of course, your energy bill. Improper sealing can cause around 30 percent of your air to leak.

Our ductwork repair technicians are trained to ensure that we deliver the most trusted service possible to all of our customers. WHAT IS AN AC EVAPORATOR COIL?
AC evaporator coils are critical components of any AC unit. The coils’ purpose is to cool the air before it gets distributed out into your home. They’re full of refrigerant, which absorbs heat from the air as it passes through in order to create the cold air.
Something that can happen to these coils is that they can start to leak refrigerant. Without proper installation, AC evaporator coil leaks can cause a complete breakdown of the entire system if they’re not properly addressed. If a leak occurs it’s important that you contact a professional immediately to get the problem fixed.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Here are some tips for maintaining your HVAC system:
Like any other piece of machinery, your HVAC system needs regular maintenance to keep it running smoothly.
One of the most straightforward and crucial HVAC maintenance tips is changing your air filters regularly. A dirty filter can impede airflow and cause the system to work harder, decreasing efficiency and increasing energy costs. Filters should be changed every few months or as directed by the manufacturer.
Be sure to leave enough space around your HVAC unit for proper airflow. Do not place anything in front of the unit, including furniture, rugs, or plants. Doing so will restrict airflow and cause the system to work harder, decreasing efficiency and increasing energy costs.
Did You Know?
A sudden wind storm or air in the gas lines may extinguish a pilot light. However, it has a safety feature called a “thermocouple” probe. The probe is made from two dissimilar metals and when you apply heat to them, it creates an electric current. The thermocouple is right next to the pilot light and heat from the flame keeps the current flowing to an electromagnetic gas valve. As long as the valve gets power from the thermocouple, it stays open and keeps gas flowing. If the pilot light goes out, electricity no longer flows to the gas valve and it shuts off the gas to the furnace burner.

When your HVAC unit malfunctions, there are two options: repair or replace. Repairing saves you money, while replacement may be necessary for older units, or units that no longer serve the needs of your home.
We want to ensure that you know how to recognize when you need an emergency HVAC repair and be well-armed. Keep reading to learn about some of the signs that show you need an emergency HVAC repair. Let’s take a look!
ELECTRIC BILLS
If you notice that your electric bills are far higher than they used to be, this is a sign that your HVAC system is not functioning properly. However, if you consider that your cold temperature could be a burden on your HVAC system, it is obvious that this could lead to high electricity consumption.
STRANGE VIBRATIONS OR NOISES
If strange vibrations or noises are coming from your residential HVAC system while it is switched on, you will need to get it looked at by a professional. Any strange noises or vibrations need to be investigated.
LOSS OF EFFICIENCY
If you notice that you are running your HVAC system for far longer than ever before in order to heat or cool your area, it could mean that some of the parts of your system have begun to show signs of wear and tear. When your HVAC system begins to lose its efficiency, this is when you begin to have more costly issues.

When temperatures soar, your air conditioner works overtime to keep your home cool and comfortable. But even the most efficient AC unit can struggle to keep up when the temperature climbs to record-breaking levels.
Here’s a look at how extreme heat affects your air conditioner and tips for keeping it running problem-free all year:
COMMON AC PROBLEMS CAUSED BY EXTREMELY HOT DAYS
Wondering how to tell if your air conditioner is struggling with scorching weather? Here are the four most common signs to watch for.
FROZEN COILS
When the temperature outside is extremely hot, the coils in your AC unit can freeze up. This is usually from a lack of airflow over the coils or low refrigerant. A symptom of frozen coils is a house that isn’t cooling enough or ice on your pipes.
COMPRESSOR OVERHEATING
If your air conditioner works too hard, it can overheat the compressor. If this happens, the AC unit will turn off to protect itself from further damage. When the compressor shuts down, you may notice your system blowing warm air or not blowing any air at all.
If this continues, the oil inside your compressor will break down, and the unit will eventually fail.
CLOGGED FILTER
When your air conditioner runs more often, the filters clog up faster than usual. If your AC unit was working fine and suddenly started blowing warm air, the first thing to check is the filter. If it’s clogged up with dust, your system will have difficulty cooling your house.
MOTOR OVERHEATING
Another reason that your AC might start blowing warm air is an overworked motor. This usually happens when the unit operates too long without a break. Overheating causes damage to internal components.
